Amos is a Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Engineer at Verst Carbon, holding a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Enginnering from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology. He applies cutting-edge AI/ML technologies to solve complex challenges in the carbon market space. With a passion for data analytics and modelling, Amos combines his expertise in machine learning with a commitment to preserving the planet. He has successfully developed and deployed a range of innovative climate solutions utilizing both open and closed-source Language Models.

Sure is responsible for establishing relationships with investors and securing funding for our carbon projects. He develops and executes innovative financing strategies, advises on fundraising, and supports projects to get investor-ready. He also brings valuable expertise in leveraging emerging technologies in carbon markets. Sure holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and various certifications in financial markets, data science, and AI.

Nyangena spearheads our mission to eliminate barriers hindering Africa's participation in carbon markets. He provides strategic alignment and is the vision bearer for the company. Nyangena holds a Bsc. in Actuarial Science, an MSc. In Mathematical Finance, an MSc. in Financial Engineering, and is currently pursuing a PhD. in Blockchain.

He leverages his extensive knowledge and expertise on carbon methodologies to ensure that our projects adhere to the highest standards of environmental integrity and carbon accounting. Charles holds a Bsc. in Mathematics, PGD in GHG Accounting and he is currently pursuing an MSc. in Environmental Science.

Passionate about innovation, Curtis brings a unique perspective and aligns his goals with our mission.

Evans leads the development and execution of business strategies to expand our presence across the continent. He oversees day to day operations at Verst Carbon in addition to spearheading the development of our digital MRV solutions. His educational background, includes an ongoing MSc in Sustainable Energy Transitions and a BSc in Actuarial Science.

Gorety is a Carbon Policy and Research Associate at Verst Carbon, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and Management from Kenyatta University. She specializes in conducting comprehensive research and analysis on climate policy, focusing on both voluntary and compliance carbon markets. As an integral member of the Carbon Project Development team, she ensures projects adhere to national and international carbon market regulations, supports local stakeholder engagement, contributes to the formulation of carbon market activation plans for various countries, and monitors UNFCCC negotiations, including the implementation of the Paris Agreement providing timely and insightful updates to address the changing requirements of the carbon sector.

Jaffer Abdikadir is a Product Manager and Software Engineer at Verst Carbon, where he pioneers digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) initiatives. With a first-class honors degree in Computer Science from Strathmore University, Jaffer has a passion for leveraging technology to solve climate challenges. At Verst Carbon, he leads efforts in developing advanced dMRV solutions, which use IoT devices, real-time data analytics, and automated reporting to enhance the transparency and efficiency of carbon credit projects. Jaffer’s innovative work in dMRV ensures that emissions reductions are accurately measured, verified, and aligned with global sustainability standards.

Maria is the Program Manager for Carbon Market Education at Verst Carbon and holds a First-Class B.Sc. in Informatics and Computer Science from Strathmore University. Previously a software engineer, she contributed to developing Verst Carbon's carbon market platform for project developers. Now, Maria leads the Capacity Building Initiative, spearheading the development of an eLearning platform and training programs designed to expand knowledge in the carbon markets sector, highlighting her commitment to education and sustainability.
